PowerPoint videos flashing

How to Fix Flashing PowerPoint Videos or when video files flicker in PowerPoint. 

You may came across PowerPoint videos flashing during your presentations. Normally, this happens when you open previous version of PowerPoint (2003-2007) files with newer version of PowerPoint (2010). 

Steps by step how to fix flashing videos in presentation: 

1. Open your PowerPoint file (when that's flashing)
2. Click on the file menu
3. Click info
4. Click Convert button on the right. (Compatibility Mode) "Some new features are disabled for improved compatibility with previous version of PowerPoint. Upgrade to the current file format will enable these new features. Affected objects include charts, diagrams, and media objects" Such as .avi files and other medias"
5. Save your file with the same file name or new file name, if you would like. (this will have 2010 extension, which is .pptx instead of ppt, so you can keep the same name, it will not overwrite your old file 
6. Once saved, click on Optimize Compatibilty, you may loose some quality, but not a lot.You can also Compress Media Size and Performance and your're done. 

Once again, this usually effects when you open older version of powerpoint files with newer version of powerpoint, like 2010.
